Carb and dizzy questions for 6 port 13b

I am in the process of installing an s4 ported 13b NA into my 83 GSL using the mazdatrix mount and -se front cover. I am wanting to use a carb on my motor and ditch the FI setup.

My questions are can I use a 12a Dizzy or would I have to find a dizzy off of a older 13b to use and what all would I have to change to do so, I.E parts like the dive gear and such.

My other question is what is the best carb and intake setup to run I only have around $500 to spend on the set-up but I can get more if need be.

12A dizzy will drop right in. you can use the rest of the '83 ignition for spark

Are you running the s4 ecu and fuel injection in your 1st gen? How much wiring needs to be done on the harness?

any 12a dizzy dist. will work just fine and drop right in...also i would run a 600 650 0r 750 single or double pumper holley carb your choice...the car will run fine either way just fine...And you only have $500...okay so your still going to get a nice setup...

1. Look on the forum for a used 6 port racing beat intake manifold
2. Look on ebay for a used 6 port racing beat intake manifold
3. Buy a new one from racing beat or mazdatrix for $245
4. Buy a used holley carb size of your choice either here on the forum or ebay...
5. Or buy one on jegs, summit
