Carb. Adapter
I heard a rumor somewhere that it's possible to get a carb adapter for the stock intake manifold on our 7s, I have a 83 intake manifold and I was wondering if someone could help me out on where i could find one, i'm planning on putting a 600 or a 650 cfm Holley carb on my 7, Thanks

Yeah i got the 5spd tranny lol, also RB header, 2.5 inch exhaust all the way out the back no cat, and removed emissions, but no porting. When i wrote 600-650 i wasnt thinking, but what do you guys think i should go with because i dont plan on porting anytime soon, but i need a carb, and i might as well get a aftermarket carb. while i'm at it. Thanks

I'm thinking he wants to get a $50 junkyard dog and a rebuild kit, but if he's planning on spending the money for new or a good rebuild on a Holley, then actually Sterling's right....one of his or Carls' rebuilds will eliminate any need for paying for an adaptor, you know the air filter height won't change (hence, no unexpected problems closing the hood...), all the headaches of rigging up new accelerator cables won't exist and you'll get a carb that can idle down low but provide the airflow for 8500 rpm all in one convenient package...I believe they are in the 440+ cfm territory now, so THAT is the way to go, IMHO....
