Car wants to die when i hit the accelerator

This issue has returned ! I fixed my exhaust and now my car bogs when I hit the gas and if i do it too suddenly the engine dies . The ODD thing is after I shut the car down it FIXES itself . I have changed the gas filters , new spark plug wires and checked for flooding secondaries. Any ideas ?
( I suspect transmission )

Transmission, AT or Manual?

Check the action of your accelerator pump (I remember you have a 12a not a GSL-SE?!)

With air filter cover removed you should see two distinct squirts of fuel into each primary venturi the instant you move the throttle by hand.

Worked but it leaks a bit ( always has) .
Odd thing is i drove the **** out of the car right now, like full send on stop lights , gunning it from 40 to 80 on the freeway . Car is running better than my moms corolla. I have had THIS issue for a year . It bogs and wants to shut down and sound like a lawnmower on the first start unless iv driven it the night before. Sometimes using no choke helps , sometimes using choke helps.

So you say you fixed your exhaust. Could it be that your cats are clogged if you're still running cats?

This would cause the issue to persist even after i shut the car down .
It fixes itself after a 5 min drive and a 1 min shutdown .

You mention new spark plug wires but have you checked the condition of the plugs? I'm wondering if it gets fouled up and driving it around heats then up enough to clear a little bit off them to feel better.

Never checked the plugs . They have less than 7,000 miles on them . I may give this a go . I don't think this is it though but changing the cables did make the hesitation period last less and the idle and temps are better.

Would be a good idea to check the cap and rotor and also see if your vacuum lines are connected to the ignition advances. Test fuel pump for the enough volume and pressure. Carburetor might also need to be cleaned.

Update .
I fixed the issue. The cheap Oriley fuel filter i had installed had the nipple collapse after I tightened the worm clasp . Only discovered this after i removed the filter I'm guessing this was making it so there was not enough fuel pressure . The odd thing is it would gl away once the car was warm and i shut the car off and back on. But now zero issues even in cold weather .
Sigh , I changed my plugs, plug wires , distributor cap and it was a dumb filter ( it was a bit dirty bit not that dirty) ..
