Well, welcome to the forum. Make sure to download the FSM from under trochoids sig line. Will help you out a lot. Read the Faq page and make the search button your new best friend. Also, you either have a 1.1 or 1.3 liter engine, not a 2.2 liter. I think 3 rotors are somewhere near 2.2 liters though. You either have the carb'd 12a, or the 13b efi. What color smoke is coming out, and does it go away after the cars warm? God bless

When the fuel load gets low, add a bottle of Sea Foam, the car will smoke up the street, but once it is through it often breaks up carbon build ups and releases stuck seals.

Just a hint, color of the smoke would help a thorough diagnosis

The color is important if it just suddenly started....blue means that engine is history, black might mean the carb has suddenly gone south, white means you've got a coolant leak...could be intake manifold-to-block "o"-rings or, hopefully not, the big internal seal that runs around the housings. The first and last scenarios require a rebuild.

Does it have a smell? Sweet = coolant.

Welcome to the forum. In my sig line are some links, 1 is to the online FSMs, carb manual and other rotary related reading. Download what ever you need and start reading.

As far as the smoke, what color is it? Smoke comes in 3 general colors, white=coolant, blue=oil and black=fuel. You also need to give a detailed description of the conditions when this happened. Accelerating, decelerating, did it continue to smoke, engine temp, etc.. Also, it it carbed or FI?

blue smoke! HELP

My 85 rx7 has been running great but the other day it began to blow smoke out of the exhaust pipe. I checked all the fluid and its fine, and there are no leaks anywhere. The car is completely stock with a 1.1 liter motor and original carb.
The smoke does have a really strong odor. Can ANYONE help me?????

The Dentist is in

Well, we now have smoke color, is getting the rest of the info going to be like pulling teeth, one detail at a time? When does it happens, what does it smell like, etc.. Calm down and take your time and think about it.
