um yeah, car will idle fine, but when i press down on the gas it seems to bog out and die, it also bogs down again at around 3200rpm.. anyone have somehting similar happen and fix it? im lost.

it seems to be bogging down more around a certain distance the pedal is pressed when its not trying to go from idle, but idk...

 

anyone? or am i just going to have to replace everything piece by piece until it stops..

 

it might be your accelorator pump in your carb if you have a carb....i have an 85 gsl 12a and mines doing that too it happens when you push it too hard right? but if you push it lightly it works right? try that or the shutter valve....might not be closing...spark plugs?, clogged fuel filter maybe?..try these things....

 

so what happend with it? did you figure it out?

 

not yet, basically its drivable if i pull the choke at the stop lights b4 i start to push the gas, going to wait until i tear it down to rebuild this winter, thanks for checking though. also might be picking up a new carb from a mechanic who stopped driving his 81, hopefully thatll work out too
