You seem bent on selling it, but I'm not sure why. Your going to have problems with any car unless its less than 5 years old. Clutch kits go on ebay for ~$130 all the time. Take a weekend, and change the clutch. Then your car will be back on the road and you have transportation again. You don't want a car loan, especially not at 16, the less debt you have the better.

Your part of a tradition, don't give up!! There are few people your age that have a car like you. You are almost done ,fix the clutch...you will be sorry if you don't. Every guy I have ever met was sorry for getting rid of his 7.

I'll put it to you this way I have a 94 merc now my trans cost 2000 used and not tested 4000 rebuilt and tested not my 81/84 rx-7 trans cost would be like $300. It may cost some cash here and there but thats beter than a **** load all at once, plus you may not be able to work on your new car your self,on top of your payment. I understand the sweat your *** off part my 94 has air but it doesnt work for ****.

Lol, and you expect a 2500 dollar car isn't gonna have problems? Do yourself a favor and just buy a new clutch and put it in. After it's done you'll kick yourself after realizing how easy it was to install. Besides, if your really wanted to help out your family, You would go the easy route without adding new costs such as more insurance, inspections and whatever else you'll have to fix in the "new" car.
