It depends on whether your windshield has hard water stains or is actually pitted from sand.
If the windshield is sand-pitted, you may find some improvement by using Rain-X, but if it's water-stained you want to use Oxalic acid. Vinegar won't do much as it's pretty weak. Same with CLR.

Amway Glass & Chrome cleaner. You will think you had new windows installed. .. that stuff is the ****! It's a paste you rub on, and then buff off.

That sounds interesting, you wouldn't happen to be an Amway dealer, would you?

Haha nope, I have had this stuff since the begining of time..... I treasure it like it's gold .. cause I have no idea how I would replace it once I use it all.

But trust me, if you can get your hands on some you will never find a better product. It works just as well on chrome also.

I use it on my motorcycles chrome, and my cars windows. It made my 15 year old windows look like they were installed yesterday, all the water spots, grime, bugs, everything gone.

find yourself a local dealer... and you too will keep the stuff under lock and key so prying people (women) can't use it on hosehold items
