The rotors and rotor housings are differant widths between the 12a and the 13b. I may be way off on my figures, but I believe its something like 70mm for a 12a and 80mm for a 13b. This is actually one of the ways mazda was able to make the 13b outperform its 12a brethren.

I think you're smoking something, dj.

Let me ask you this. How thick is the intermediate plate?

12A 70mm
13B 80mm
intermediate plate 50mm (important to know when considering multi rotor engines)

A 17A (3 rotor 12A) is 120mm longer than a 12A and 100mm longer than a 13B. This is because a 13B is 20mm longer than a 12A. Class dismissed.

Isn't it 50mm wide? I'm pretty sure it is.

70mm for 12a rotors and 80mm for 13b.

Sure You can turbo rotors in the 12A, but You'll ned the heavy duty stud set from MazdaTrix because it requires a bit more torque to bolt it together
