What the hell for? There's not boost to regulate or intercooler and piping.

You can always run a nice air filter like on a cold air intake and then have it go through the IC and into carb hat... That might work... probably more expensive than it is worth though

That's fine, but installing the intercooler and piping while still running NA will be nothing more than a restriction. Once you have the turbo plumbed in, then the bov will be of use.

NO, carbs work on vacuum, not boost, are you sure you're up for this?

There is a 'Failure to communicate' here. If you have the turbo, intercooler, piping and carb boost prepped and installed, then yes, you need a bov. Until you have all of that installed, then the only thing in that parts list you might need is a boost prepped carb for pre-tuning.

Will the Profec B when you are turboed, yes.

dude, correct me if im wrong, but i think he's talking about "can i use this boost controller ONCE im turboed?" I don't think he means right now. And just so you know the profec-B is an electonic boost controller not a blow off valve. Greddy's blow-off valves are the type-s, type-rs and i forget what the others are if there are any. not trying to be a dick so please dont read it like i am cause it might sound like that

Also you dont NEED a bov on a turbo motor, its just a good idea, plenty of factory turbo cars dont have bov's, wastegates are another story, though.

I stand corrected on the bov/ebc misunderstanding. All I can say is the Devil made me post. LOL.

If I remember right the profec-B piggy backs off an ECU, so if your going carb'd that is a no go.

Incorrect. Profec B is a stand alond boost controller with three different settings. It's a great unit, but stay away from the type-B

Setting 1: Boost Controller Off, Turbo boost pressure decided by wastegate spring alone
Setting 2: Boost Controller On, - at whatever you set. (always above wastegate spring pressure, never below)
Setting 3: Boost Controller On, - at whatever you set. (always above wastegate spring pressure, never below) - likely higher than setting 2.

On top of the that, the Profec b has a "gain" dial, that lets you control how slowly, of quickly you want the wastegate function to open. If you dial it right, it will make a WORLD of difference with traction, so boost won't come on too abruptly.
