I got my car running Perfact.. all but one thing.. When it warms up the tac drops to 0 even though the car runs fine.. When the tach jumps back to the RPM I am at.. the car spudders for a sec.. If it does this at a stop light or something... I will no restart for a while.. Is someone can attach a photo where the tach hooks to the engin.. I think the wire might be shorting out!! Thanks

Jeff

Tach is hooked up through the trailing ignition. Your car should run fine even if the trailing isn't. You're probably having a trailing ignition issue, possibly igniter / coil.

Hmm

does anyone know why when the tach starts freeking out is misses like hell.. and than after a few times.. it dies and will not restart until it cools off.. I hooked a timing light up to it.. On the leading side ...(both front and rear ) are right on there marks.. But on the trailing side.. the light is freeking out.. not fireing normal.. I have put new coils on it.. so I know thats not it.. I think that my trailing ignighter is about to die cause of the tac problem.. but I dont know why it will not run after it gets hot?

Spark plug wires. Make sure none of them are touching each other, or laying against any possible ground. You might need to replace the wires. If so, use a decent quality wire.

Oh yeah, one other thing. The trailing ignitor might be getting too hot. If it's not already fried, remove it and put a good coating of thermal paste on it. It's never a bad idea to do it to both ignitors occasionally jus as a preventative maintanence.

When you replace it......DON'T FORGET THE HEAT SINK COMPOUND (thermal paste).
