This is an 83 and i've been having this problem on where the hell this hose goes because dame this little thing is a loud vacuum and needs a hose. So can anyone tell me what hose and where it goes. If so please provide pic, but if not then thats alright. thanks

 

Can you take another pic zoomed out a little? Hard to tell exactly which hose that is.

 

Hmmm, looks like the rear of the the rat's nest.
I'd just cap it off and see what happens, myself.

 

im with wankle guy on this one, is there another tube somewhere else in the engine bay that is uncapped as well?

 

i've checked all over to see if theres any others that don't have hose's, but i'll try and take another pic.

 

looks like the one that goes on the bottom of the air cleaner.

 

Take the bolts out of all that and thow it as far as u can.

 

I think you guys are right. In a recent install, that nipple was missing a hose at the rear of the rat's nest. My memory tells me it went to the air cleaner or the AC pull-up thing. Just cap it for now since you're unsure.

 

im guessing AC idle up solenoid.

 

im gonna try and take a better pic for you all can see it better and where its located. I thought maybe it went to the bottom of the air cleaner unit, but wrong when the noise was louder. i know that this thing is important because its sucking air but i just don't know where it connects. Does anyone out there have a pic on how all the hoses connect?

 

Hey.. theres a nice little diagram on the underside of your hood.. refer to that it'll tell you exactly where it goes.
