My GSL-SE transmission just died on me. I'm looking for a transmission or to see if anyone wants to buy the car. It has 200k miles on it and the engine checks out fine with compression. What does a GSL-SE tranny go for anyway? I haven't found any for sale yet.

 

The GSL-SE ones usually pull a bit of a premium.

If you don't mind a little bit shorter 5th gear (adds about 500-600 RPM to cruising speed), you can use a 12A tranny.

500-600rpm??????????? sheez, that's like the difference between 5th and 4th!

 

I have an 84 GS parts car that the tranny worked in when I tore the engine out (180K on engine/tranny). If your interested let me know.

yeah 70 in my vert is like 2100 rpms LOL
