can my 12a run 11's

a year ago i got an 87 12a rx-7 ever since then its been in a shop for repairs( i bought the car really used) but whatever i been to plenty of rx-7 web-sites but none of them give me enough information about the 12a for example turbo's.i now the car has alot of potential it's a ******* rotary, but i wanna find out if the car run 11's. im pretty sure it can with heavy modifications, but i still want it to be a daily driver and i also wanna go boost. so if you guys can help me out that will be awesome, let me know e-mail me or someting.

maybe its a typo, but there is no 87 12A. they discontinoed the engine in 85.

Yes the 12A can run 11s. nothings impossible, just make sure and contact 680whp. that is his username, pm him.

You might look in the 2nd gen section and see what it takes for the TII's to run in the 11's. That will give you a basic idea of some of the mods needed to run that quick. Can it be done, sure, how much time, money and talent do you have?

You dont need a massive turbo to run 11's with the 12a in a 1st gen. I ran 11.9 with a high flowed 13b turbocharger on 13 psi.

^^please note the smiley...it was a joke And that turbo is gt42...not that large IMO. When you start getting into the gt45/gt47's then you are getting big
