My apologies, in error I believed the public profile you wrote saying your car was a " 79 Honda Civvic".
I put it up there to give morons something to talk about it.
I really actually didnt think someone was going to use it against me in a argument.

Would it be more appropriate if I put $1200. junk yard FC?Or a 10th Anniversarry i saved from a junk yard and got a steal on only for $1200.?

$1200. FC

Since you dont get mislead about the info in my profile,my name is not also Rotary7s

ok paul i just got your email. we will call it a draw.
Theres your number 1 mistake,
Turbo dont mean "crap" (sensored for the kids),It makes me laugh that everone wants to just slap on a turbo on anything and call it a day.

Do you know how many n/a rotaries,I have seen at the track, and on the streets that people are making good power with?

A friend of mine, had a starlet, with a 12A semi perphical port engine in it,the engine made enough power, with the help of nitrous to buckle the back 1/4 panels.

Its all into tunning,Jesus Padilla is runnings 9-10 secs all motor,I know theres got to be plenty of turbo rotaries out there not even coming close to that,

I understand that turbos dont mean anything. I get what your saying .

but with all those upgrades. all that stuff. its boost. its another mod.

its not about slapping a turbo on there.

if you had all those upgrades and placed a turbo on there. It would up the time because its physics. its boost.

its forcing the engine to work harder.

In theory boost should mean more HP,which it is over stock.

But theres alot of people who dump money,
into a stock port engine,
with a stock modded carb,

To get a whooping 140 HP at the wheels.Which you can easily acheive on port work and a n/a set up with less headaches to worry about.Thats fine if thats only what you want,or can afford.

But I like to build things and try to max it out so I wont have to redo things later to get what I want.Thats why in my first gen,Im not going to waste time and money to use a GSL SE rear end temporarely.Just to have a half assed job,and know it will have to be changed later.

Trust me I know.

I dont believe in dumping money into a turbo as soon as you get the car.

after Naturally aspirated mods are complete then you should$$$$$ in turbo or blower. then it gets fun.

Rotary7: Going back to your original comment, I agree you can get good power out of a 12A NA. Some 25 years ago I drove a TWR prepared NA which produced about 305hp which appears to be the limit. But that cost a lot of money, and there was minimum power under 6,000rpm.

I think why kids are looking at turbo is it is a cheaper way to go, and the power can be tailored to come in lower. I still prefer the BP/PP sound.

Good luck with your 400+hp project, it would be great if you could start a thread on what you are doing.

I personally would never go with a blower on a Rotary,Last time I checked.Atkins didnt even use a blower on thier own drag car.

If you would talked to me 6 yrs ago,and asked me what my plans on my first gen was.

I would have told you T66,carb blow through bridge port on a 12A.

But with more knowledge,my plans have took a turn around and now going into FI which I never thought I would do on a first gen.

Let alone a standalone.

Its all about research, and keeping an open mind.
If you was single minded and only thought what was good was only sold in retail parts store, than all the good, free info here would have went to waste,Not to mention all the parts/mods that people are building/designing out of thier garages.

I dont post up much of what im doing any more, cause back in late 04.

My 10th Anny got stolen and stripped.I still have it,and she will be getting a
13B RE (Cosmo) soon.

My 84 with a new bridge port rebuild got 1k in parts stolen.

I havent been on the site in a while, cause of the untechnical junk.
Gonzz01 got me coming back for FI technical info.Plus his swap is something down my line of what im doing, but he just have more money to spend

Before I even do the body/paint or putting in the motor on my car.I want to do my 6 point cage, and narowed 9 done.

The cage I can do at my job,the 9 a guy I know will be doing it.
I have been taking pictures along the way,Im just going to wait till its done.

I hope to be out there soon to compete with the big boys like DirectFreak, and Gonzz01 is going to have a beast, and I will just talking to him late last night on how his white SA has progressed over the years.

I dont like blowers, but I saw a graph of who has what style blower and theres a guy,In the FC forums.I want to say his name is Sonic,or Sonic rat.He put down (I think) high 3xx's HP in a 6 port n/a engine.

Dont pass judgement on a 79 Civic either,I heard of them doing B series swap in them, which means

B16A
B18C
B20
ls/v tec swaps in a car that looks like an egg,to keep the sleeper look.
