Can i use this muffler as a presilencer ?

I was wondering if i could use this Magnaflow performance muffler as a presilencer for my 84 GSL-SE. I currently have a RB header with straight pipe to a RB Muffler. The Magnaflow muffler has a 2.25 inlet and outlet diameter and is 20 inches long overall, it is 4 inches in diameter on the outside. I have attached a picture, let me know what you think, Thanks.

As long as it's free-flow, and not glass-packed...

Probably going to sound like crap though. If you have the rest of the RB system, don't cheap-out on the presilencer, it's what helps bring the tone low and take out the "tinny" sound that is so typical of civics running mufflers like that.

Thanks for the input. I think that I will try this out. It should be free flowing since the ID of the case is 2.5 inches.
