2 No. the 85 came with either 12A or 13B engines.

3. Yes, the Gen 3 came with twin turboes so you could by an engine for around $2500-$3000. Alternatively if you had searched correctly there are some ten other ways of adding a factory or aftermarket turbo it any Gen 1 engine.

4. There are some 350 performance upgrades to cover part of a RX-7; body, engine, interior, suspension, wheels etc, all detailed in threads found by searching. Power from 80 to750 rwhp, cost $1 to $15,000. All are easy if you have the skills or money.

5. Did not find much? If you read every thread available on search you could spend the next 25 years improving your RX-7, and by then there would be another 100 ways you could do it as this forum has a whole bunch of experts who seem to spend most of their waking time thinking up even more novel ways to inprove or make their beloved rexs even more unique.

Later he narrowed his choice down to a 85 GSL-SE. You read the original question as a 85 [RX] 7 which he might have been trying to say.
