IMHO it can't be done. The only real fixed headlights I've seen are the kits from CP.... and those look like crap. I've yet to see good ones, but with the shape of the 7's front end, I can't imagine having a set that looks like it belongs on the car.

Is this the one you're talking about?
There is also a red one...

Sorry but those headlights are nasty..... Unless you were building a replica rally rx7 it would not be cool, but if you made it AWD and it had those headlights, IT WOULD BE AWESOME.

That is actually a great idea, I think I might do that... A replica race car....

If I was going to go fixed mount, I'd do something like this.

Looks pretty mean on this car- RacingBeat prepped IMSA car

Square headlights=ugly IMHO

That car is pretty cool anyway, but the headlights make it look too much like a mid to late 80's Z car.

Fixed/flush headlights are all about tastes. They can look good, or out of place depending on color, body style and light selection.
Ive never had anyone not like my lights when they saw them in person, mainly because you get more angles and a 3D view when your actually there.I can totally understand why some dont like them and why they arent consistant with our "vintage" cars.Which is,for a lesser reason, why I choose to make mine.My car isnt very vintage anymore with the modern power and muscular widebody look.My main reason however was for space and weight savings, not to mention the aero advantages. They didnt come out perfect, but I did them quick and cheap,so Im happy for now. They are legal and easy to clean however....

The book was "RX7 Color history" I used to have it, but I can't find it, and it is no longer in print, but I do remember that he used 323 front running gear, and I think a transfer case from a toyota truck or something along those lines. They did mention that the car had to be raise 1/2 inch to make everything fit, but it would be worth it. That car kicked *** in rally back in it's day, putting Audi Quatros and the like to shame! Here's are some pics for you. http://www.prorallypix.com/RX-7/rx11.html (It's the white and orange striped car at the top of the page)

I found this in a Brooklands Book featuring the first gen RX7. This was an early design, featured in "Motor Sport"; Sept 1979. It looks pretty classic!

Depending on if I can find an AWD toyota, preferably a truck. And depending on the height of the strut, I might just stick the whole front of the truck under it.... I could have the driveshafts cut and balanced, with the Toyota's driveshaft yokes.... that would be wicked...

I think a toyota truck front axle, and differential setup would be a little too big to mount under the front of one of these cars.I have owned a 82 with the solid axle setup, and I know it is too big to fit under a seven. The IFS systems are a bit more compact, but still I think it is too large to work.If I remember right Rod Millen used a 626 front axle setup, and modified some sort of trans case to fit behind the tranny.

i love steve84GS TII car the not so wide body and the flush lights look awsome
but i all so think the half popups look awsome too so it would depend on how u shape your car.
awd=4wd ??? any way wouldnt you have to turn the motor sideways for this ,most 4wd iv seen are front wheel but also diff to a transfer case not postive on this just looks like it
personally if my car looked like steves i would go flush
thats one slick car where u get that body kit
