well this is my last day with my computer until i can buy one. thanks all for all your help, directfreak, mike-p-28, mar3, and all the one who help me alot. thanks and see all laterz

BTW, on Ebay you can get complete IBM PC's (older models, 300PL) that are PII-400 for like 110 bucks, with everything but the monitor.

I got a few for my family this way, it was easier and less headaches than me having to build PC's for them. The best part is that they are OEM IBM, so I know they are high quality and not generic crap.

Yeah man, if you dont want up to date stuff. The p2 or p3's will be just fine..

Hell the one I access the Internet with is a P3 intel celeron 533 LOL

I got a 1.4 g machine but i use it to copy cd's and rip DVD's

Better than mine... Dell Inspiron 3500 laptop; Celeron 366 baby. 192MB RAM though, so it does alright. Just can't play games.

Eddie, just buy something in the newspaper for like 50 bucks... it won't be stellar but you'll be browsing the forum and word processing no problem.

I'm using the same computer I bought as my FIRST one 6 years ago..Gateway 2000 200MHZ, 64 meg!!
Just about anything is good enough to surf the net.

This computer was made before people could pronouse DOS. I do C, Pascal, BASIC and FORTRAN. I like C the best.
