Hello all, I have decided to bridge the gap and buy an RX7! I have a few prospects, but I have not actually SEEN the cars, only ads on autotrader.ca and the like.

Im just wondering, what should I look for to know if the vehicle is worth my money or not? (Anything specific to a 1984 GSL would be helpful....)

Your best bet is to take a rotor head (some body who knows these cars) with you when you go to look at the car. Where abouts do you live?

 

The most important thing is to look behind the pockets to see if it has rust. If it has more then a little run away fast.

 

perhaps try a search on this to find out more. however, yes storage bin rust is almost key! decent maitnence should be noted, as well as look for poor weatherstripping, interior fading, theft signs on the steering column, gas tank leaks, mis aligned body panels, and good coolant to name a few
