bushing replacement?
ok, got my bushing kit, tokico blues, and springs. since my magic wand got stolen, ive gotta get all that into the car with my own hands.
i found a good howto on the rather straightforward process of changing the shocks/springs, but i havent found a good guide for bushings. im more than willing to put one together in the next few days, but itd be nice to have a place to strat, dont wanna miss anything.
im thinking it might be in the fsm, but its not on this comp, and i dont have the time to download it all and look through it. besides, ive heard some nasty things about these little bits of rubber, im sure someones got some advice.

The FSM won't cover how to change the bushings since I don't think Mazda sells much of the bushings seperatly (the make you buy the whole control arm)
I find it easiest to burn the bushings out of the rear control arms/watts link, and the bushings in the front control arms can be hit out with a hammer and large punch.
I think your idea of making a how to on the subject is a good one as this topic seems to come up often enough...

Go with Respeed for the replacements. They have the best prices and really do a lot to support us so in my opinion they deserve our support too. As far as how to replace them, it really depends on which ones you are working with.
For the front control arm bushings, I had to get a 4 1/2" angle grinder (under 20 bucks at Harbor Freight) and cut the bolts off then replace them with new (probably a good idea anyway). Trying to press them out resulted in warping the cross member due to the stress. Once the metal sleeve bonds to the bolt, it can be really tough to get those out of there. Good luck.
