bushing kit.
bushing kit.
Who makes a good polyurethane bushing kit for an SE? Also, someone commented about a company that makes an idler arm bushing that is of real good quality. Do you know who?
re-speed on the bushing kit for the suspension.
It is not the bushing for the idler arm that is improved but the arm it self made by moog.
Mike, you really need to learn how to search. :-)

If you're asking if there's a difference between the SEs and non-SEs, there isn't. There are different kits offered however. Some replace all of the bushings, others don't. There are 2 different types of poly bushings, red and black. The black ones are graphite impregnated and are less prone to squeaking once the lube has dissapated.

Just installed a full set of the graphite impregnated poly bushings from RE-Speed. Great improvement in ride quality, noise and of course, handling. Took a couple days but was well worth the work.

+1 for Billy (re-speed)
Great prices and service. Just tell Billy what you want and he'll set you up. I got basically a full kit from him (black ones), but there were a couple pieces that I did not need (since I was installing Kentetsu's old RB bar and already had the bushings for it). Billy set me up with exactly what I needed.
Mike: Also think about what else might need an upgrade while you are at it. You basically have to tear apart all of the suspension to do the bushings, so consider other upgrades/replacements at the same time (shocks, springs, brakes, etc.). I replaced just about everything I could when I did it (wheel bearings, rotors, pads, calipers, SS brakelines, shocks, springs, front sway, etc.). A lot of work, but now all that stuff should be good for some time.

Great advice Kent. I am doing shocks, struts, idler arm, ball joints, and maybe tie rod ends, depending on how they are. I'm seeing if I can afford to do it all at once. The car handles terrible, wanders all over the road, and feels like every bump is inside the car.
