Why so many?
Well it all started with my original, and when I drive around an I notice one sitting in a field, junkyard, or on a car trailer. I always stop and chat with the owners, and wonder why they arent driving it. Usually its the same old story, it doesnt run anymore, no mechanics understand it, or its just an old pile of junk. I pick them up cheap because of the situations these people are in. Usually just in the nick of time before they haul em off to get crushed! So essentially I am saving the 7 from extinction, and passing the car on to other people who want them. I sell them sometimes, but only to owners that will cherish them. Kind of like an animal rescue. I save them, rebuild them, fix them, and help them find happy homes. Most of the time its just simple little things to get them running, other times they are too far gone to save.......The two I picked up this weekend are easy.
The 85 GSL White: 135,000 on the ODO
Needed a battery
Cap
Rotor
Wires
Plugs
Oil Change
Brakes
Wd-40 to Carb linkages
Minor Rust on rear fender
Dent on front Quarter
the 85 GS Blue: 114,000 on the ODO
Battery
Oil Change
Cap
Rotor
Wires
Plugs
Turn Signal Flasher
Wd-40 Carb Linkages
Fuel Pump/Filter
Stereo
Dent on Front Quarter
Both are in great running shape as of now, and the motors still are holding strong.....Heres the pics see for yourself!
