yeh I put new coils in it yesterday, and replaced a dud module. It idles better and is much nicer to drive but top end is still the same. The bloke at the shop tested all the spark and power etc, and its all working sweet. Plugs arnt old either.

When i started playing with carbs and non-stock stuff I added an Exhaust Gas Temperature probe into each header pipe. And an air/fuel meter. It REALLY helped troubleshoot things on my time at my leisure.

Have you shot the pully with a timing gun when it starts to run crummy? That could be an eye-opener.

aircraftspruce.com sells a dual EGT setup and Autometer, Intellitrox, summitracing.com sells a/f and O2's.

Of course shipping isn't cheap to OZ but I'm sure you can find something comparable out there!!!!!

I had the same problem with mines .. I had the carb tuned and it was running like a champ when i took the car in for paint the carb got dirty and the needles and seats started to stick.... I couldn t find my regular mech and since the car was so far away i took it to a local carb rebuild place . the car started fine drove good when cold but when the motor started to heat up and i started to get on it it felt like i had no power after 6k... When the car was out of paint i took it back to my rotory mech he re tuned the carb and all my problems went away.

I would have your carb rebuilt, or atleast check it out. sounds like your jetting may be off or something. This is assuming that your ignition is functioning properly. if you were running a weber, it would be a little easier to set up.
