Brake Fittings

I've been doing some brake work on my '84 GS and I want to install the stainless steel lines I bought, but there is a hitch. I bought the lines to fit an FC because soon the front of my car will be the FC suspension/brakes. I figured it would be easier to adapt the FC lines to the rear than the FB's to the front. My question is where do I procure the adapters to fit the calipers for the lines. Right now the lines are both female ends and I believe that fittings on the rear calipers are male pipe thread. Hopefully I've explained everything well.

Anyone have a source for fittings like this or even know the specifications of what I'm looking for?

From all I can find and just threading different things into the fittings I have, the ends of my lines are 1/8" NPT threads. I just bought some adapters from Summit. Hope this helps you.

1980 and older used a different thread pitch than the 81-up.
83 GSL rear to 79 chassis: ReSpeed, Racing Beat, Rotary Performance, and MazdaTrix all sell the special line needed to adapt the 79 brake line to the 81-85 GSL rear diff. Prolly a few others, I just can't think of them off top of my head.....
Clutch master? Did you replace the clutch master, or buy a SS clutch line? More info is need to give you the correct advice.

They are not 1/8th NPT.

They are 10MM x 1.0 Pitch. All Mazda lines from 1981+ are the same diameter and pitch.

The type of fitting is called an "Double Inverted Flair". The FC lines were soft from the body to the strut housing. They then went hardline to the caliper. That is why you have two female ends. Both were filled with male hard lines.

The Front brake lines on the FB calipers seal differently than the FC calipers. FB seal with a crush washer under the head. The FC seal with the inverted flair

The rear FB lines seal the same way as the FB fronts do at the caliper. The FC calipers are 10MM banjo bolts.

You can not use NPT fittings on brake lines.

sorry, the slave cylinder, it's the slave cylinder that was on the trans that was already bolted to the 13B.

3 options.
Adapt the original slave to the 13B trans.
Replace the clutch master and entire hard/flex line with 81-85 parts.
Find the elusive adapter fitting to between the flex line and slave. I would bet ReSpeed could fix you up on both counts.

The front can be adapted easily. The rear lines you will need lines with banjo fittings on the end. The FC lines will work. They are a bit longer than you need but will bolt up. We also have the SS lines specifically for them.

i finally came up with an option, i had a ton of trouble. Racing beat, i called them, gave them the part number, they say they've never heard of it, talk to mazdatrix and she sells the last brake line for this swap as i'm talking to her. So...i was contemplating a few different options...you can get adapters that go to an AN- fitting, then from that AN- fitting to a different thread pitch, but that's not how i wanted it...i ended up seeing an ad for a place called Crown Performance, i called them up, told them i needed a female 10mm/1.00 thread pitch male end, and a 10mm/1.25 thread female double inverted flare end...he said ok, how long do you need it? and that was that...no other problems at all, they had it to me in a couple days, great service and can make anything you need, and still DOT approved was the part i liked.
