Does your trash can have a lid or is it open? Only NGK or ND.

Yeah the BR8EIX plugs are NGK Iridium plugs. I've seen some of the 2nd and 3rd gen guys run them without problems but they have a direct-fire ignition already.

So that tells you that at the very least they won't protrude into the combustion chamber and fork your apex seals, but as for whether they'll work well with our ignition system... I don't think they'd blow anything, but they may not run any better than stock plugs unless you're running a direct-fire setup.

No harm in trying these ones though. They shouldn't cause any problems.

Disclaimer: I have not tried these in my FB, so I take no responsibility for what happens if you try them based on my advice. My advice is based on stuff I've heard here on the forum and not firsthand experience.

i have been thinking of going w/ the second gen. coils for leading and running these plugs w/ them... i will probably stop at that with the 12a car... when i dynoed it last year it made 112rwhp and 109fpt... if i clean up my ignition, reset timing and tweek on the carbs (runs very rich according to the wide band)... i might make a little better numbers, but i like the car the way it is... plus i have another car i need to start building...

anybody else got any input??? i am open to suggestions...

I ran these in my SE before I upgraded to the 2nd gen ignition coil and they ran very poorly. I would recommend that if you are going to try them that you do so with the 2nd gen leading coil upgrade.

Also I believe you will either need to make your own thin wall socket or buy the one from Mazdatrix to install these properly.

IMO,

Stock ignition calls for stock plugs.
