body kit

Anyone seen this body kit in person. I need to replace my front bumper cover and this piece is half the price of a new factory cover. Considering the whole kit since I am going to paint the whole car. And if I do, the pic looks great with the side moldings removed.

Wouldn't look right without the side moldings, IMO

Too bad they don't have a piece to fat up the bottom of the door, too; it'd look more integrated.

I agree with Starfox; the bumper without the skirts would look mis-matched. I'm not much of a bodykit fan, but I've seen a lot worse.

For some reason, it makes me think of my old 91 Camaro RS, around the sides and back.

I meant without the black door guard moldings, It should have the skirts to look complete, I agree.

I just looked at some 91 Camaro RS pix via Google; no wonder it reminded me; the sides and rear are nearly identical.

There was a lot of discussion about this kit in past post. I don't like it because the skirt end sections need to come up higher. The bumper ends just below the side marker light and the side skirst should also go that high but they don't.

I am thinking of just staying stock and perhaps painting my moldings

84 stock - if you need a stock front bumper set up (ie. front bumper, lower part and grille.) ive got it for you pm me for more info if you are interested.

Cool

I've debated on getting that kit for my 85 once I get it back on the road, but I would have to change the rear bumper. Can't stand the squared look. I would go with the one I have on my 83, which has the curved under look in the back.

PM Hozzman, his FB is the one that was the test car for that bodykit. I've seen this in person at Sevenstock and here's a few things to consider about the kit:

1. The rear is horrible, I think 90% of everyone can agree on that.
2. The kit sits very low in the very, very low.
3. The kit's front air dam and sideskirts are designed to flow together, so if you wanted to just purchase the front only (like I wanted to) it wouldn't look right. The front sits about 1-2" below the stock side bottom line of the car, just doesn't look right.

All in all I think this is the best looking front air dam around, just wish they designed it so it wasn't so low and can look great without the sideskirts.

What size do you think those rims are in the first pic ? I like how they fill the wheel wells. And yes I just purchased this kit. And yes if you use the front bumper you should use the side skirts, it just won't look right without them.
I'm in the test fit faze, but so far everything is close with no headaches.
I also have all of the stock pieces, front and rear, color is mazda mettalic grey, great shape. PM me ?

There has been a Silver FB at DGRR the last two years and he has just the front air dam on. It actually doesn't look too bad.

That front air dam hasn't been out for 2 years. Must be a different one.

Actually the GP1 front air dam is available, I just bought mine 2 weeks ago. Like I said I'm still in the first stage of mock up. Trying to figure out what route I want to go attaching the kit. If you really really need a pic to look at, I can post one?
But I would really like opinions on what size rims those are in the first pic of this thread. 1 last item, KEREBRUS when are you gonna order 1st gen short shifters, I'm in for the second batch, lol.

Need more buyers, we have to buy them in a bulk of 30 to be able to sell them at the price we listed, otherwise if we buy 15 it's going to be more and no one wants that including us .

You should definitely post some pictures especially from the side when you get your front air dam installed.

Interesting, I didn't even know it was out back in April of 2008. I thought Hozz had the first kit ever produced in which he showed it off at Sevenstock in 2008, no?

Interesting, from what I heard the one that was designed and tested on Hozz's car was the first of it's kind, maybe not.
