like every first gen
im not 100% sure of the cause, but im sure it has something to do with either the heavy carbon depostis these motor's collect, or the oil injection from the carb
or maybe your rotor's tip's are getting a little on the worn side? remember heat makes everything expand, creating a better seal.
does it seem to use more oil then usual?

Hi Bob. The first thing you're going to want to do is smell the smoke to determine if it is fuel, or oil. The solution will be different depending on the source of the smoke.
If oil: Try replacing two quarts of oil with Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer. This stuff works miracles when it comes to dealing with worn oil control rings.
If fuel: This could be caused by a few different things, so I'll wait until I hear back from you before going into detail.
Good luck...

It is oil smoke. I had run seafoam in the gas and now my oil press unit is dead, been there before, new one and filter and oil change today. the car sat 15+ without running ,so I am playing catgh the fish by going one thing at a time lucas stuff will go in today. Thankyou. I have tuned the idle to where you can hardly feel the car run at high idle. do you know how to put a dizzy with igniters in this is a single dizzy car rx3 1974. Bob
