blue smoke?

My car never smokes unless the engine is cold and I rev it up, (I know thats bad, no lectures please). It is blue oil smoke. Is this normal? 85 gsl-se

Yes. Enjoy it while you can. My '76 Cosmo smokes a little at startup and then will only smoke once it's warm if I let it sit and idle for a while. I'm guessing the vacuum it;s pulling through the closed butterflies of the carb is sucking a little oil past the oil seals and/or O rings. No biggie. It just means it's time to start saving up for a gasket kit, oil O rings, and anything else you'll think it'll need. Then once it's open, you can figure out whatever else you'll need to buy. Or you could just spring for a full rebuild kit, but those can get expensive.
