I have a 1984 Rx7 GSL SE, and recently my engine blew. I was wonder if anyone knew where i could get a used one (perferably really low kms). ALSO, I wanted to know if a swap with an 1987 turbocharged engine will be just plug and play? or what will i need to make this swap possible. I need you help, i would like to drive my car in this nice weather. Post here or email me at anthonylee81@hotmail.com

Anthony,

Welcome to the Club.

As others have stated it is not plug and play to put a Turbo engine in.

How did you determine that your engine is blown?

As far as a replacement low mileage engine that is going to be very difficult to find.
Your choices are the following.

1. Buy one from a reputable engine re-builder (recommend this if you can afford it and are going to keep the car for a long time).

2. Place an WTB ad in the Classified section

3. Find a wrecked Se with a good engine in it.

4. Buy a engine rebuilding video, buy the parts and do it yourself.

How did it blow? What happened that caused the engine to fail? How many miles?
