Blow Through 13b igniton setups

I'm currently swapping a 13b into my first gen with a blow through setup. I currently have one Msd box with the setup with 3 coils and the modified igniter for leading. How are you guys doing ignition with blowthrough setups. I'm currently waiting for the turbo manifold to be delivered so im trying to figure out whatever I can before it arrives. I saw online a programable MSD box that supports boost retard and I was thinking about maybe running that on leading only and disregarding trailing ignition as I believe it is not needed from what I am seeing online. Has anyone tried the programable box? if not should I just lock my distributor at 10* and call it a day? any help would be appreciated

MSD makes a box with built-in boost retard. That would seem to be easier than a programmable unit.

i would not disregard trailing ignition, it is extremely important at low load. You can run at WOT on leading only but barely be able to cruise.

I'd personally use something like a Maxx MINI (or whatever flavor of known 'lesser' functioning ECU youd like such as an Elite 550), FC CAS and IGN1As to control spark completely and run DFI.

with the programmable unit how would i do this would i need 2 of the programmable boxes? one for leading and one for trailing? this is the last part of the blow through build that is confusing me. I will try to search for a threat about this if someone has been through this please let me know.

i looked into the max mini and i like how it works but will it work with my carb setup? the ecu would only control spark not fuel due to the carb.

I went for literally over a decade running zero split, with one MSD driving two or three coils, trailing goes through the distributor. Ideal would be two units, but at that point running an ECU spark-only controlling a set of (genuine) IGN-1As would almost be cheaper as well as the better option.
