Blarr blarr oil burning advice.
Hey i foolishly didnt replace my o ring seals the last time i did a rebuild this year, now, well ever since then i burn smoke on startup and when i accelerate hardish. Im 99% sure that the o rings are the problem, in fact i have the engine sitting out in the garage atm ready for strip down in the weekend. Im just wondering if this smoke would have anything to do with the side seals? or is it all about the inner and outter O-Rings.
Ive ordered all new o rings, and o ring springs, engine seals/gasket set. The engine has good compression (12a NA, Street/bridge ported) I was just wondering about the side seals question, oh and the o ring seal housings, do i need to look more into them aswell?
Thanks dudes for any help, please keep the flaming of my foolishness to a minimal hehe, i know.

When I did my first rebuild, used parts from a couple of engines. I bought a gasket kit only. The oil control rings were so bad that the engine went through 4 qts. of oil and 5 gal. of fuel. It was funny watching the 1/2 bp blowing smoke rings out of the tail pipe at idle.
I ran the motor for 6 hours and tore it down, ordered a rotor kit with seals, o-rings and oil control seals. I will never build an engine without at least getting the o-rings and probably the oil control seals. It's just not worth the time to R&R the engine again because I used worn parts that should have been replaced the first time.
