BlackTie Motors R&P Kit
Haven't seen any talk of this kit here on the forum, but anyone planning to order it? Have any details on the kit?

It looks like this kit mounts the rack in front of the motor from what I saw on instagram and then bolts to the frame rails, not sure if that works better or worse than rear steer.

I recently bought their LED turn signals and was.... Let's say less than impressed with the quality of them... Not sure how comfortable I'd be with something so critical but I could be wrong.
Front steer works just fine and is what FC/FD/Miata/Countless other cars uses, but it's difficult to accomplish while keeping the stock FB motor mount location (front cover) - which is why FC/FD/Rx8's etc all have the motor mounts farther back, it gives the room needed to fit the rack correctly. Adding some extra crossmember/bracket system to mount the rack in front of the stock FB engine location will make for some interesting geometry - especially since it looks like they are trying to make it accommodate the stock 13" wheels...
Kudos to them for making FB parts in the first place, but I'll be sticking with my FC subframes thank you

I figured that the geometry would be tricky, it seemed like in the mock up pics there was some pretty severe rearward angle to the tie rods. I think an FC subframe is the preferred way to go since the steering geometry was engineered by Mazda

There are more photos on their Facebook page.
Unlike the RE-Speed kit, there's no replacement crossmember, but another frame that bolts to the body in front of the engine. Steering knuckles and crossmember are flipped around like the first version of RE-Speed's kit.
I don't see what they're doing about the tension rods that will be in the way.

I agree, hoping once the kit is "finalized" they can provide something better.
Has anyone ever looked into the upgraded steering BOXES from flaming river? I've emailed them asking for any dimension on their boxes to compare to our Toyo box. Maybe there is something that would be close fit?
