I have looked all over the forum and can not find anyone with the same problem I have and am looking for some advice. I live in PA and have a 85 RX7 that will not pass inspection due to rusted floor boards. The car runs great and is in great shape with little rust on the rockers and one small spot on the door. I am looking for some advise about repairing the floor. If anyone can give me some advice it would be great. I notice on some auto repair/rebuild shows on TV that these guys replace floors with what looks like replacement floor panels. The have the necessary form and are embossed just like the originals. Does anyone know if they are available and where I might find them ? Any help would be great

Rx-7's do not currently enjoy the support of aftermarket, OEM style replacement panels and parts like some popular domestic models you see being worked on TV. In reality, most cars don't. We are left with either fabricating the panels ourselves or cutting them out of good donor vehicles. It pays off in the long run to start with the best vehicle you can find and afford.

rusted floor boards? a picture would help. I've patched holes with scrap sheet metal and pizza pans. Secured them with lots of nuts bolts and washers. Then bondo'd things over, and sprayed tar undercoating. New Jersey state vehicle inspection was non the wiser. The inspector looked at the freshly sprayed undercoat for the longest time
