The biggest MEGA WIDEBODY FB in the world!
Amazing indeed, the bodywork looks similar to the IMSA GTX class (circa 1982) RX-7's, where they battled Porsche 935's and Ferrari 512's. That same car was actually for sale on Yahoo Auctions Japan not too long ago:
Mazdaspeed/Mooncraft IMSA GTX RX-7 (13B):
Le Mans Gr.5 935 (look how similar the front is):

Im not a fan. being a huge classic porsche enthusiast, I cant like the look alike to the goddly moby dick. If the 7 had different graphics then I wouldnt mind it. But I do like they put "mazda" where "martini" goes.

That's obviously an RX-7 trying to be a Moby Dick Porsche... Somehow it looks cool and wrong at the same moment. Where's the point of spending so much time and money in trying to make your Mazda look like a blown porsche???
As for the pics of the racing RX-7: that's a Le Mans 254, as far as I know the widest first gen. The front of that one is completely different then the porsche-look-a-like BTW.
This page has all the LM efforts by Mazda:

Judging by the width of the extension of the front fenders compared to the width of lines for where the pop up lights would go, that kit is not any wider than a GTO-1 kit. Definately longer and more attractive than the GTO-1, but not the widest kit I've seen.
It could just as well be a stock 12A
Sinceth car is "just" a copy of a Porsch, and not a real racecar, who's going to tell?
Anyway, I like the 254 (the LM car posted a bit earlier on) a lot, and I'm thinking of building a replica of that one someday.
