big problems with edelbrock 600 lol
I just made a how to on how to instal a edelbrock 600 onto a stock port. Now im having problems myself. I changed the primarys to a smaller jet size, as well as the secondaries. I lowered the metering rods down so that it would not flood. Now all thats happening is flooding, no matter what i do. I checked the ignition and both leading and trailing are working exactly properly yet the car wont run unless i pin the gas. Even then it barely runs, it will bog but maybe rev up to about 5 grand then die, then back up, then down again. LOTS AND LOTS of grey smoke, obvious gas problem. Yet it wont idle either. Even it the carb was running rich, it should still start up and idle unless fuel is pissing into the intake or something is wrong when it comes to gaskets. Could a shitty intake gasket cause too much air to enter the engine and prevent it starting unless i pin the gas down? Im so lost, i dont know where to start. Metering rods, jets, and floats are all good. Fuel pressure is fine too. And what is that back bung on the carb for? its for a return line correct? Please help.
