Big Brakes for FB

I want 4-piston calipers and larger rotors on my FB, and I want 'em cheap. Has anybody put FC hubs, rotors and calipers on their car?

I can picture the conversion -- I'll need some adapter rings that slide over my spindles to adapt to the FC hubs, then I'll bolt on some FC discs. Next, I'll make custom caliper mounting brackets and bolt on some FC 4-pots.

And yes, I know that I'll have different bolt patterns front and rear if I want the larger rotors, but that's OK with me.

Are there any big brake kits available for the FB besides the 7s Only kit? www.sevensonly.com.

Thanks for the link to the thread. The Wilwood setup looks good, but I would prefer a kit that uses aluminum hubs to save a few pounds, especially if I'm going to pay big bucks for it.

The Guru Racing kit sounds like the ticket -- if they actually produce it. I already have some FC 4-pot calipers, and I figure I can have a the perfect big brake kit (front only) for me for less than a fortune:

Rotors: 11.75" X .810" = $100
Hats: Anodized Alum = $100
Calipers: RX-7 FC 4-pot = already have them
Brake Lines: SS Racing Beat for FB will work with FC, too = already have them
Hubs: FC 4-lug = already have them
Custom Caliper Mounting Brackets = $100 (or less)
Custom Hub Adapters = $100 (or less)

Grand Total (for me) = approx. $400

I figure I'll get the first two parts from Wilwood and I'll get the last two from Guru or I'll have to make them myself.

yes guru motorsports does make a big brake kit with fc calipers. saw it @ sevenstock this year.

who will make you custom aluminum hats and hubs for $200 a pair?

if you can make the kit that cheap, put it for sale here and there'll be a line of guys including myself ready to buy

Very Optimistic @ $400. If you could post a diagram for the brackets that would be awesome. Im thinking the same thing FC calipers. I have some off a 300z but they say nissan on them. looked @ FC yesterday and they look the same Except they have mazda visable on the side

Shoot, make that kit, we all will buy it!

I didn't realize how costly my swap is becoming...I need better brakes...that requires bigger wheels...but I want nice wheels, so I'm probably going to end up getting the CP Racing conversion kit...ahhhhhhhh!
