Best way to clean a carb (exterior)

Basically, I have an extra Nikki carb that I have been using as a pen holder on my desk at work. My boss has finally put his foot down that to remain, it needs to be cleaned (he actually kinda likes it, but it's a bit dirty ). It doesn't even have any gaskets or anything, so I'm really not worried about tearing anything up really, but what's the best stuff to soak it in to clean it off?

Thanks

I think you guys are talking about Chem-dip, right?
While Chem-dip works great for cleaning carbs to be rebuilt, I doubt if Cletus needs to go that far with it, as well as spending the $ for a whole can of Chem-dip.
I'd just get a big can of Berryman B-12 to do the exterior. As a side note, Chem-dip has got to be the nastiest smelling stuff in the world. Get even a drop on you and you'll be smelling it all day. Phew!

Wait a minute.....you're going to clean your carb only to put it back on your desk and put pens in it? If I were you I'd tell your boss to **** off or clean it himself. I'd only clean a carb if it was going to go ON a car.

That's the carb cleaner I use! By far the best deal I've ever seen, and it works great.

I'll have to check out the Tech 2000 stuff, I guess. I've tried a LOT of different carb cleaners, though, and B-12 is the best I've found so far. It's so aggro, the stuff will eat the concrete in your driveway! There's a sad story behind that...
