My friend and Installed seats from a 90' celica into a FC. I think they felt a hell of a lot better than the stock FC seats and they bolted right in. If FC seats fit in the SA and the Celica seat fit the FC then the Celica seat should fit in a SA.

I noticed in a local trader that somebody had a pair of leather 93 or later MX6 buckets for sale for $100. If anybody wants it, I can check and send you their number.

Wow, I posted this thread over a year ago and it's back! Well I bought a set of grey TII seats and am really happy with them. They hold you in really well and look cool, not bad for $200.

Are you talking about the stock seats? They're bolted to the floor, 2 per rail. Once the seat is out of the car you can access the rail bolts to the seat, 2 per rail.

Have you guys ever seen the seats in the older Fieros? Those have about the biggest side bolsters I've seen on a regular street car. I don't know how hard it would be to make them work, as I haven't taken any of the Fiero seats out to look at the bottom, but I've seen some in the junkyard and they look pretty cool.
A few years ago, I discovered that I could buy racing seats from Britain, and even with shipping cost, they were about $100 cheaper apiece than the best deal I could find on the same seats here in the US. I don't know if that's still the case, but I thought it might be worth mentioning. Funny thing is, the seats were made in the US.

I've only ever seen turbo seats in grey (87-88) and black (89-91). The GXL came in all kinds of colors, but the seats weren't as nice.

It's really easy. The rails bolt directly to the floor. You can get to all of them by just sliding the seat forward and backward to make clearance to swing a rachet. You should be able to see all the bolts by just looking around the seats.
Once the seats are out of the car, you just turn them over and unbolt the rails.
I suppose you could remove the rails from the seats without unbolting them from the car, but that would be unnecessarily hard.

I thought this was about back seats?
Anyway, here is a picture of the back seat I have in my SE. Has like four 5/8" bolts holding it in. Two of them go thru the body crossmember and two go into the threaded connection on the wheel well. I know the 84/85s have this connection--probably one of the few english threaded connections on the whole vehicle.
Oh yea, pretty much kids only back there--but then again thats why I bought it. Beats getting a big ticket.
