Best rebuild DVD ?

I picked up a complete '74 13B engine and tranny recently and was going to use it to try my first engine teardown and possible rebuild . Maybe something interesting to drop into the 79 ?

I posted in the "other rotary" section but got no answers . Any suggestions on which rebuild DVD I should pick up to help me through it ?

Where did you buy this video?

I have the Atkins rebuild video, it was really good... abit monotone but we rebuilt 2 motors already with it.

You can't go wrong with the Atkin's video from what I have heard. I don't know, I didn't use a video when I rebuilt mine; however, I've not even had the chance to start it back up yet either.

The atkins video is decent, I had to use the haynes manual/fsm so supplement it a couple times, but it gets you through. Its nice to have good quality picture of what the FSM and haynes are talking about..

I have the Atkins DVD & its seems OK; obviously 13b but assume the principals and bits are the same Guess I'll know HOW good once I REassemble the 12a! Important I think to take plenty of pics and notes if you are a 1st-time rebuilder, and as others have suggested, a manual (FSM or otherwise) should be near by. I think your BIGGEST mistake would be to assume the DVD covers _every_thing a 1st-timer should know! AND:
another great resource is the Pineappleracing.com on-line video tips. They also have some nice tools for rebuild use too.

the most important part is to measure and CLEAN

if you overlook that, you can really screw up a rebuild.

oh, and the most common mistake even shops do, is to f*** up the front cover assembly and free ply
