Tough choice man, tough choice...

But I went with Silver/White, I think it shows off the detail of the car better.

It was a close one between that and Black though.

Maybe not the engine itself, but EVERTHING else.

Best color is the original color. I have 4 FBs in Misty Blue, Red, Silver, Silver and a red REPU. Each will get repainted as original. Once you get it nicely painted and polished you will love the color.

I'm tired of grey, black, white.

I say go with Blue, it is not very common with Rx-7's. But, I would only do blue if the interior is a blue or grey one. Don't paint blue if you have a maron interior, that would be weird looking.

But, definitely don't go with black, dust always shows up super quick and there are too many Rx-7's with black. I would recommend heavy metalic blue, dust seems to take a while to show up with it.

I like Sunbeam silver (not white) for a stock color and it does not show dirt too much. If you are going to all the extra work of changing colors you may as well not limit your choice to just the stock ones. [img of purple car supressed] You could also change the shade slightly or make it metallic.

it's a faded red 85 s, grey interior, red is on there for ease of use mostly, i like blue and black, but any color but red will require a full respray, red will takeonly the outside if I use the mazda paint, am I right on this, please correct me if I'm wrong

I don't think black is good for the 7. Seems to me it's just an abdication of choice. And a black car must always be polished and clean and free of blemishes.

None of the above. It's gotta be light beige, the best color of them all. Makes good use of all those classic 7 details.

Just polish it down to bare metal, fix all the welding and seam blemishes, and wax the **** out of it!

Just kidding. Seriously, what's it matter what we think? It's your car, what color do you like the best? We've all got different colors on our cars. Some of us love them as they are, while others (like you and myself) are obviously torn between a stock repaint, and a new color. Either way, it's you who has to live with your final decision...

So pick BLUE!
