Best bang for your buck.
Hey guys and gals. Here's a question for ya. If there was one thing you could do to your rotary to raise performance at a price/performance ratio, what would it be?? I quess what I'm saying is, I'm a poor student and I'm just wondering about some cheap upgrades/ maintainence that would improve overall performance of my 12a motor. Thanks for any input people.
<waits for people to start screaming "NOS"> Like inittab said, exhaust is your best bet. Im sure everyone will agree on that. Some do claim mild gains from things like the electric fan conversion and air pump removal, but I havent tried either, so I can't really say.
I have always heard exhaust too, but does a intake or just a K&N replacement filter work? Is it worth it? Can u notice any diff?
I have owned mostly 2nd gens for the last many years. So I am interested to see what you guys think that have done this.

well as long as your nikki is optimally tuned it shooudl eb good to around 150 HP soo unless you have a street port i woudlent really bother. id go far exhaust first. and clean up all that emmisions stuff if you dont have that in your area. also makes the engine bay alot nicer.. also a nice cheap lil mod is DFIS or seomthign liek that direct fire ingition dealy. do a search lotsa good info on it.
