Bent rear sway bar

I was looking under the rear of my car and I noticed the passenger side of my rear sway bar on my GSL-SE was bent down between the sway bar body connections.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Here is a pic, notice how bent the near side is apposed to the far side

I think this was caused by the dry pavement donuts I was doing the other day

I just asked the same question the other day and the answer I got was that it was a stock bend. Mine looks the exact same way. Kinda goofy eh?

The strange thing is the axle and suspension is symetrical back there. Why the heck did Mazda bend it like that??? Maybe it was designed for a a panhard rod setup?!?!?

Yep, perfectly normal. Oh, while it's off... Throw it onto the nearest scrap heap.

I put poly bushings on mine and when I popped it out I thought I bent it too ... and all i can say is have fun putting it back on especially if your putting new bushings on, if it behaves like mine did its very uncooperative when you try put it back on.

The car becomes more predictable and less prone to nasty oversteer.

Do a search, there's been heaps of discussion about it.
