help asap
what is the part number for the heater hose on the drivers side? Mine sprung a leak and overhated. it is now sitting on the interstate all alone. Is it the hose that is in two pieces and needs a splice or the hose that is one piece? It was too dark to tell.

I dont' know exactly which hose you need/are talking about, but here's the page at Mazdatrix that will link you to all the hoses, with pictures and part numbers for them.
I don't know what it's like where you are, but I'd leave it until sunrise and go out there with a ruler... measure the hose, and get a matching size hose and some clamps at your local auto/hardware store.... go back and patch it up... unless you can get a really good flashlight and know a place that's open this late at night.

You could snip the bad section off and push it back on the heater tube and reclamp it. It's better if you've got a lot of light to see down there.
The heater hose can get oil-soaked and swell. Check to see if yours is swollen before you decide to get a replacement elbow, or to simply cut off a little and push it back on. I've seen both done with good results.
