if the alternator, there are two bolts that need loosened. one is on the bracket, 12mm. the other is at the base of the alt. it is 14mm and has a nut on the other end. if you have another set of hands, you prob do not need to remove the air cleaner assembly. losen the blots, get a pry bar under the alternator and lift up. tighten the bolts while you have tension on the belt. the air pump is the same way. there is a bolt on the bracket at the lower portion of it and there is a longer bolt with a nut that secures it to the engine. the airconditioner has a few bolts and one that must be had from the bottom as well as a bracket. loosen, provide tension, tighten.

the air pump may seem trickey at first, but it is pretty simple. if the belts are loose and squeaky, you may want to replace them. they may be stretched from hard use.

if you replace them, you need to remove the fan. you can choose to remove the shroud with the fan. it is advised. the tension should be consistent like that of a piston engine.
