I used a battery cable pass though... also will help when jumping. My cable is running inside the car on the passenger door seal. You can hook to this just like remote terms... here's a link of what I got http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...chItemId=83333
However here is a link for actual remote terminals...

Personally, I'd just buy a self-powered timing light. A couple AA batteries will keep it running for years, plus you don't have those annoying power cables dangling in your way. At the shop, we have a genuine Kowa Seiki (same company that makes the Mazda rotary compression testers) timing light that is just about the handiest tool ever made.
They are relatively expensive (>$100), but oh so nice. Notice how the inductive pickup retracts into the body and the lens extends to focus the light.
A cheaper thing to try, however, is to add a 12V (cig lighter) outlet inside the engine bay and convert the timing light to a cig lighter plug. Then you can also use the plug for other power needs in the engine bay, like plugging in a light or running an electric air compressor.

Old [Sch|F]ool
For a *jumper cable* terminal, the alternator stud or the stud on the fusible links block just won't cut it.
Find a Stratus or a 2nd-gen LH car in the junkyard, they made zillions of them so they are common and they all had "hidden" batteries, and nice simple remote jumper-cable terminals. Run a 4 gauge cable from it to the starter and done. Now you can jumpstart the car without having to take your interior apart.
