Bad Rotary dream..

Well, most of you know im stillbuilding my engine (yeah after 2 months)

Cleaning and poloshing everything I can ..I even been getting **** ceramic coated..

Im picky..
Well most of you know I also ported my engine also..

Well let me go to the beginning of the story..

I got a local freind with a FB and he just swapsed his engine, suppose to be a fresh rebuilt, and ported job..

I look at the engine ..looks used..

He installs it,cant get it started.. So after 2 dasy I go over and do some tricks, and adjustments and it starts..

BUT it doesnt sound ported..

He swears its ported.. and I have heard 100s of diffrent ported engine ..and this one has NO sound of a ported one..

WellI had a bad dream last night.. I put my engine in and started it waiting for the brap brap brap ...

and NOTHING!!!

Quiet as STOCK ,,,,I actually woke up at this time.. and woke up pissed.. Been grouchy all day and tired.. its 838pm ..time to go to sleep

When i had my 12a, i had a dream about my freshly ordered racing beat exhaust, to which i was going to add a ricer muffler.

the dream was terrible:
1) It made the car slow as **** (lost too much back pressure, dropped it to like 80hp)

and 2) was so quiet you could barely hear it running.

LUCKILY, it was the exact opposite of both of those, and in fact was the loudest car i have to this day ever heard.

I had a dream once about rotor housings.

In real life, I had just finshed assembling a mildport.

In my dream, I had been looking for some good rotor housings because mine had too much flaking and I didn't have enough money to buy new ones. So all of a sudden, UPS came with a pair of new ones,(remember this is a dream) and says "Mazda wanted you to have them for being so loyal" quote the UPS guy. In the dream, I thought it made perfect sense because I had bought so many rebuild kits.

I know its strange, but once I opened the box and held the housings, I discovered they were bendable aluminum, WTF!! I was saying, "cool, they are flexable, they must be a new design". And the housing surface was as shiney!

I woke up and was sad I didn't have the new housings anymore. But I realized bendable housings probably isn't a good thing in a engine. LOL!

Last week when I decided to pick up a rotary GLC project from a local roterhead, I had a dream about it that night where he absolutely refused to sell it to me. I kept coming up with good reasons why it would best go to me, because he was looking to get rid of it in real life as well as in the dream, etc. Anyway, I woke up quick and had to reassure myself it was just a dream. Then just a couple days ago he helped tow it to my house and I've just spent nearly all day working on it.

Hehe, brap brap brap is going in it after I finish the conversion with my stock port engine.

Geez... I've been working my *** off so hard to raise the money I need to finish mine this summer, that I started dreaming (and nightmaring) about waitering! Lol... I did 22 hours in 2 days at one point... I was eating, sleeping, and breathing waitering, and all I could think of was "okay.. just a few more hours clear the visa... then a few more jobs get the car running... the car.... I have to do this for my car.... "

I just got back from the middle east a couple of weeks ago. I was sleeping and my wife had stayed up studying. When she came to bed, she left the light off and was trying to be quiet. After over 4 months of sleeping on a cot in a tent in the middle of the godforsaken desert, I have had some weird dreams. I had a dream someone was trying to sneak me while I was sleeping. I ended up punching my wife in the eye just as she was getting in the bed. She fell on the floor and I jump on her and put her in a head lock screaming "who are you, what do you want!". I swore I was dreaming but she was freaked out for a couple days after that.

I had similar issues after I returned from my tour. It's a mild form of PTSD causing mild paranoia. GO to councelling to prevent it from getting worse.

I usually have dreams about working on cars. Whenever I'm stumped and I can't figure out what is wrong with something, I'll think about it all day and then when I fall asleep I'll dream that I am working on the car. I'll fix the car in my dream and it'll all come together. When I wake up I'll go and fix the car and it's usually what I dreamed of, that was really wrong with the car. It's weird.

When I am having trouble coding or solving a computer-related problem, I'll often "sleep on it"... since I rarely can remember my dreams very clearly, I doubt that I dream up the exact solution.. but usually after sleeping on it, I have a much easier time tackling the problem.

However, I did have one freaky Rx7 related dream..... It occured to me that being a Teenager, I might drive my FB a bit... fast... when I get it on the road.. I dreamt I was cruising across this local bridge, when I lost control of the steering and went over the edge... and began to drown, wrapped in the loving seatbelt of my own FB... it was freaky...

I had a dream i got a supercharger on my car, i was revving it and watching the boost gauge needle go off the gauge.... too bad the gauge only went to 6psi, but it was still damn cool, and omg the sound of my engine in that dream and the BOV.

Sometimes when I have nothing to do, I'll sit around and think about what I could do to my 7 to make it faster... and then i start to think about what i'd race if it were faster... and what competitions i would win...
around this part, someone usually brings me back to the real world and tells me i'm drooling.
(i guess this is a good dream, sorry )
