Last weekend was quite a adventure.Starting my bug with the rotary that had not been run for about three weeks.So I'm cranking away and
pumping the gas (Yaw Carb no choke)and cranking away and pumping
the gas and cranking away and pumping the gas.You get the picture.
Well it pops and sputters and gives a backfire and then starts up and
is running well.So as I look behing the car,I had the garage door only
open about 2 feet,all I see is FIRE ! I throw open the door and my
God there is fire about 8 feet in diameter and about 3 feet high just
blazing away.I had pumped so much gas that it puked it out the back
and then set it on fire ! Luckily my truck I usually park there was moved
and it was raining so nothing got hurt.Just the smoke filled up my
garage and house.
So be careful out there.

 

Note to self: Do not stand behind a rotary's exhaust...

 

Hee hee when WT still had the thermal reactor exhaust the exhaust was HOT... after a hard drive I could take a milk jug and hold it up to the tail pipes and in about 30 seconds I was holding a small ball of hard white plastic

 

hey mine was hot too! The heat exchanger return pipe on mine was glowing red hot, I had it parked in the yard except after I noticed that it was getting that hot I noticed the grass was dark brown right there as well, and this is in the winter..... sooo.. I gave myself an excuse for the racing beat header + pre-silencer [img]images/smilies/fruit.gif[/img]
