Back Seat in an FB
oh yeah, about that, maybe i wasn't clear enough... The back seat probably folded down on me because the little mechanism that locks it up or down had been giving me trouble right before the crash. (it would either jam locked so i couldn't move the seat, or it would jam in the opposite way so that it wouldn't stay up or down. The seat IS almost 28 years old...)
When I strip my interior, I'll probably take the seat apart and figure out what's wrong. My bet is that the spring on the mechanism is so old that it's lost it's springy-ness...
BTW, my parents apparently had an accident similar to mine when the car was new, and the back seat was fine...

So is it safe to assume that if i did ever come across a back seat i want to install all i have to do is remove the rear bins and drop the seat in? Or did the US gvt. make mazda install some type of brace there that i need to remove?
I have seen one here in new mexico. So someone somewhere was getting these seats from Japan and shiping them here. Probably military guys.
I kinda want one to watch friends wedge themselves in and out out like sardines!
