AUTOPARTS RIPOFF!! Maybe.
I went to a parts store to buy a GSl-SE Fuel pump for my 6-port install, well you know what the part # for the SE and for the 12A cars was the same, well i didn't know that and bought it.. Now i checked online and the part #'s are the same.. Why is this and did I get screwed?
They must have a mistake in their system or something. They can't be the same as one is an EFI pump and the other is for carb of course. Based on Mazda part numbers:
SE: N304-13-350C
12A: N249-13-400B
It appears that a lot of parts stores (online at least) use the same database for part numbers. It is likely that there is probably a mistake somewhere.

I think they gave you the wrong part. Based on partsamerica, the SE uses Master E8000 and the 12A uses Master E8124.
