Arrow Automatick Trannys suck, i want a manual.

I have an 82' GSL and its an Automatic (aka slow). I ordered some racing beat headers and presilencers so up the speed and just did a fiero fan install... but man this car isnt fast with this tranny. 0-60 in like 14 seconds when doing good. 0-40 in 7 seconds, 40-60 in 9 seconds, thats where the stick comes into play. Im in WA, and have access to my schools awesome auto shop. Where would i begin looking for a tranny, and for everything hoe much do you think it would be?

geez, 1st gen transmissions are dirt cheap.. I once had nine of them laying around at various places. Just hit up a junkyard, it'll take 20 minutes to pull it, maybe.. or make them do it.. or just pick one up from a guy around here, I've got a spare laying in my garage even, and so does my buddy I believe (raptor13x)

I got two laying around, 4 total, 1 with a 30-6 hole thru the side

Hey before you do the swap, do at least 50 redline neutral drops and tape it

change the gearing (rear end gears) AND do the manual swap...then you'll be good to go!
